CAP

Production of
capsules for
sparkling wines

Our CAP machines make capsules to seal prestigious wines, sparkling wines and champagne. They represent the flagship of the company, for the very high quality and aesthetic level of the product made.
The most relevant features are the modularity of the machines, the advanced control systems and versatility of use, the simple and low maintenance operational management.
The capsules, in aluminium or poly-laminate, can be printed in hot-foil, flat or embossed, dry, in up to five colors and with the possibility to realize complex decorations such as embossing, punching, tear-off tabs and others. The head can be printed in hot-foil, flat or embossed, with punches.

PROJECT

Development of a control system with Machine Learning logic, on an existing capsule forming machine.

In collaboration with:

Department of Industrial Engineering of the UNIVERSITA’ DEGLI STUDI DI PAVIA.

OMRON ELECTRONICS SPA, for the implementation of the DELTA-TAU process controller.

The project has been realized with the contribution of European Union, Italian State and Lombardy Region Resources, in application of EU Regulation n.1303/2013 and EU Implementing Regulation n.821/2014.

The phases of the project:

Analysis of the current state of the system and introduction of an appropriate sensor system to identify the characteristic quantities.

Development of a vision station for an objective evaluation of qualitative and aesthetic-functional nature of the realized products.

Implementation of an Omron process controller, based on “Machine learning” logic algorithms: development and implementation of the Todema control algorithm, able to modify the conduction of the machine independently.

Preparation of an operator interface on tablet, with augmented reality.
